Since they were engineering students at Virginia Tech, co-founders Brett Plano and Ryan Coudon envisioned creating a company that would reflect the level of customer service and attention to detail they believe is necessary to be exceptional in the construction industry.

Founded in 1998, Plano-Coudon’s primary mission is to make every client’s vision a reality. With over 400 years of combined senior-level experience, Plano-Coudon provides construction services for a variety of building types in both the commercial and institutional marketplace.

B.S., Civil Engineering, Virginia Tech

Brett’s enthusiasm and love for the business motivates and brings excitement to every project. He offers expertise in project budgeting, site selection, and project management. His daily activities include client development, pre-construction services and the general management of Plano-Coudon. Brett is also a LEED Accredited Person. Brett began his career with a large general contracting firm, where he worked mainly at hospitals and universities in the Maryland area.

B.S., Mechanical Engineering, Virginia Tech

Ryan’s determination and drive for perfection set the standard for excellence on every project and every activity with which Plano-Coudon commits. He offers expertise in project budgeting, site selection, and project management. His daily activities also include client development, pre-construction services and the general management of Plano-Coudon. He began his career with a large general contracting firm, where he worked on a variety of project types including large refrigerated warehouses, retail buildings as well as industrial plants and educational facilities.
